Thanks to these Helping Hands

Following are people who have helped to make this ride possible.

(Jane) My daughter, Angela, has encouraged me and helped me prepare for this ride from the very first time I mentioned to her that I was going to take on making this dream cometrue for me.  A horsewoman in her own right, her organizational skills and thoughful gifts to my success have made her help priceless to me.  She also is taking care of my other horse, cat, house and other business  for me while I am on my ride of a lifetime, in addition to her own family and nursing career.  As much a sponsor as any one. Many thanks, Angela!  And to grandson, Chris, who will keep my grass cut while I am gone.

 (Jane) Carol Schmuhl, California Back Country Horseman (woman), who has been my 'pen pal' for over a year.  When she heard about our ride, she wrote to encourage me and has been doing so ever since.  Even though I have yet to meet her in person, I look forwared to the day I get to CA and meet her and we can ride off into the desert!

Bob and Loretta Brown, La Blanc, MI  whose long time support of my horse endeavors has encouraged me along with this ride

White Stone Event Center, White Stone, VA, Lauren McAnn, manager, for lending us their grounds for our first night on the trail.

Shari Brown of Lancaster, who was excited for us and pointed us to;

Jack Jackson, of Lively, VA,who was a very hospitable host to us on his beautiful farm, where he keeps his trail riding mules.

Kelly Liddington and the Richmond County Extension Office, who provided us a link to all the state's offices.

Frozen Levels Farm in Dickerson, MD, right at the entrance to the C&O Towpath at White's Ferry. Mason Hopkins Sr. and Jr. operate a large forth-generation beef and hay farm, where they raise quaility hay for sale, very interesting for horse folks.

 Brunswick Family Campground, Brunswick, MD., right on the C&O Canal Towpath, has nice grass! for the horses, hot showers! for us, and Larry, who helped locate sites up the trail.   A big camp ground with lots of amenities for all types of campers and fishermen.
